Morning Routine for a Productive Day

Having a morning routine makes such a difference for me in my day. Any time I oversleep, I swear it sets my entire day off wrong! I love using these steps during the week to help me prepare for the day ahead.

  • A good morning and productive day actually starts the night before. Every evening, I make sure I do my skincare routine, have some relaxing time, and get enough sleep! (I’ll share a more detailed blog post of my morning and evening skincare!)
  • Set a scheduled time to get up each day on weekdays so that your body can naturally get used to waking up at a certain time.
  • Take a few minutes to drink your coffee or tea and do something that makes you relaxed – spending some time on your phone, reading a bit of a book, or a morning workout.
  • Start a habit of the basic things that need to get done each morning. For me, this is making my bed, brushing my teeth, taking my vitamins and Prozac, and cleaning the litter box. I know that all of these have to get done each morning, so I try to do them all together to get them out of the way.
  • Skincare and makeup are one of my favorite parts of the morning. I love getting myself put together and trying different makeup options each day.
  • I love picking out my outfit for the day, because having a nice outfit makes me feel confident for the day. Work slacks and a pretty top with some nice shoes makes me feel put together, even if mentally I’m not feeling great.
  • Before I leave for the day, I kiss Bruce and Nibblet and say goodbye to everyone. This seems like a simple task, but it’s important to me to talk to Bruce and my animals before I leave to start the day, and it makes me feel better when I leave.
